Our Mission

The Carson Foundation mission is to provide funding and support for adults and children with special needs. We will also work with large organizations to ensure we can all work together to provide the highest quality of life possible for all individuals with special needs in our community.



Objectives

The Carson Foundations primary objectives are to provide not only funding, but to also provide a variety of programs and services to all people with special needs in our community.


We hope to accomplish these objectives by partnering with fellow not for profit organizations who's goals and objectives are similar to ours. Together we are certain that we can make a significant difference in the lives of people with special needs.


The Carson Foundation over the next 2 years will aim to provide the following programs and services to all people with special needs.

  1. Adult Day Programs
    • Provide a life after school program for adults with special needs.
    • Focusing on work and social activities within their respective communities.
    • Focusing on personal and social life skills.
    • Work towards independence and providing oppurtunities for all adults with special needs to play an important role within their community.
  2. Respite programs for children with special needs.
    • Weeknight and weekend respite programs for families who have children with special needs.
    • A safe environment where parents can bring their children
    • Provide sessions on life skills, art, music, swimming, social activities, as well as outings within the communities.
    • Work one on one with families to help reach goals for their children.
    • Overnight respite services for parents. A safe environment for parents to drop off their children for an evening or weekend.
    • Christmas, March break and summer programs for individuals with special needs that are still in school.
  3. Consulting services for all families and individuals with special needs.
    • Provide families with consultation early in childhood to help lead families in right direction.
    • Provide free consultation regarding services such as speech therapy, physical therapy, work placements, etc.
    • Establish monthly support groups for families coping with stress, single parents, etc.
